With the end of the school year getting closer and closer it may be starting to feel like time is running out. I know I feel that way! It is becoming more frustrating to answer the age old "what are you doing next year?" question and the walls of my apartment feel as if they are closing in around me with my move out date looming in the very near future. But, do not give up hope! It is so important to keep a positive attitude when you're looking for a job or employers will be able to sense your negativity. As I have continued my search the following links have been very useful and I hope they will be for you too:
I know exactly how you feel. Not knowing what you're going to do or where you're going to live after graduation is so stressful. Another thing that I find really annoying is when I tell people I majored in Psychology and they ask me what I plan to do with it.
I definitely get frustrated when people ask me about my Psychology major! But, I have found that explaining how and why such a major is a good basis for nearly any job in which you have to interact with other people (which is almost any job!) tends to help people reconsider their position on just how useful my Psychology degree will be.

I genuinely believe that employers don't scrutinize majors too hard, particularly after your first job. I've met a couple people with some of the most obscure majors who have crazy positions. One example is a guy I know who majored in Zoology from GW and is now a very prominent real estate developer. I definitely wouldn't get hellbent over it, I would just find a way to spin it into a positive and how it adds value to you for a position.

You have been so thorough throughout this whole process and it definitely will pay off in the long run! I have no doubt in my mind that things will turn out well for you and you are going to land your dream job!
Goodluck with the last couple of weeks at school!

School is so exhausting, let alone looking for a job while you're interning! I feel like I never have enough time to do everything I need to do, let alone things I want to do.

I keep trying to look at it in a positive light, such as "I still have about 4 weeks to land that job!" or "I will have some much time to work on applications in between finals and graduation!" Not sure if it is really working, but keeps me from mentally breaking down every day.

I almost feel like it will be nice to have the summer - or part of it at least - to take some time and look for a job and be at home with my family. If I end up getting a job not near them I won't have time to go home as often as I would like!
Thanks for the linkage... I've been reading lots of motivational stuff too to make myself feel better about the fact that I will probably not be sticking around and that I'll be home for a little bit before I can find a real person job O___O

Wish you and every other senior all the best in your job searches. Excuse me while I live in the career center.
It is so stressful just to know that we are about to graduate and I still don't have a job. Especially when everyone is asking you what are you going to do after graduation. Being a student athlete does not gives us that much time to look for jobs, but I am confident that we will find one !!
